About me
I will join the Advanced Networking and System Research Laboratory (ANSRLab) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) as a postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Prof. John C.S. Lui. I am currently visiting Prof. Yuwen Huang at HKUST (Guangzhou). I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from CUHK in 2026, where I had the privilege of being advised by Prof. John C.S. Lui. Prior to that, I completed my B.E. in Information Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2020.
Research
My research focuses on ⚛️quantum networks and quantum computing, where I develop protocols and algorithms to address challenges like entanglement routing and path selection, with the aim of building scalable and reliable quantum networking systems. I also explore how quantum computing can accelerate classical algorithms. Moreover, I study 🎰multi-armed bandit theory and its applications in interactive and networked systems, designing efficient algorithms with provable performance guarantees.
I always welcome discussions and collaborations. Feel free to reach out via email at liumaolimm [at] gmail.com (preferred) or mlliu [at] cse.cuhk.edu.hk. 🤗
I maintain a GitHub repository that collects research papers on quantum networks. Please check it out here. If you find it useful, please consider starring it! ⭐️
