About me

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, supervised by Prof. John C.S. Lui. I am a member of the Advanced Networking and System Research Laboratory (ANSRLab). Prior to that, I completed my B.E. in Information Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2020.

Research

I am interested in the theory of 🎰multi-armed bandits and its applications in areas like computer networks and recommender systems. The goal is to design rigorous and efficient algorithms with provable performance guarantees. Moreover, I am interested in ⚛️quantum networks and quantum computing, where I develop protocols and algorithms to address challenges like entanglement routing and path selection, with the aim of designing scalable and reliable quantum networking systems, as well as exploring the potential of quantum computing to accelerate classical algorithms.

I always welcome discussions and collaborations. Feel free to reach out via email at liumaolimm [at] gmail.com (preferred) or mlliu [at] cse.cuhk.edu.hk. 🤗

I maintain a GitHub repository that collects research papers on quantum networks. Please check it out here. If you find it useful, please consider starring it! ⭐️
